Born in West Toronto, Margo Jamieson studied classical piano for ten years through the Toronto Conservatory of Music, and jazz privately with the Merriam School of Music in Mississauga. She was rehearsal pianist for various ballet studios in the Toronto/Hamilton area, including ballerina Karen Kain's former partner Frank Augustyn's Master class at McMaster University. For five years she was pianist for Oakville Children's Music Theatre, and for the past ten years has been Music Director at Christ Church Unity in Hamilton. Margo recently released her first CD, "C'mon Let's Sing" containing favourite songs and featuring keyboards and vocals. As well as her solo work, she performs as a member of the Margo Jamieson Jazz Trio and with the Dixieland trio Swing It. As well as private functions, she has performed at many venues including restaurants (1505 Fine Dining Restaurant and Jazz Lounge), cafes (Arbour Café and Jazz Lounge Oakville), golf clubs (Burlington Golf & Country Club), convention centres (Oakville Conference Centre), and awards ceremonies (City of Mississauga Mayor's Awards).
