A highly accomplished drummer and vocalist, Michael Shotton has accumulated years of experience with countless original, Top-40 and specialty tribute acts. His wide vocal range, style and presence allow him to perform everything from rock and R&B to corporate and orchestral shows. In 1988, he was signed to Herb Alpert's label A&M with the pop-based group Diamond Life, responsible for the Canadian hit 'Habits of the Heart'. He appeared on the 'Walk On' (MCA) album of legendary rock band Boston, and in 1991 turned down an offer to replace Brad Delp in the lead vocal position for the band, signing instead to EMI records with high-energy pop-rock group Von Groove. Michael's own original band, Von Groove has to date completed their seventh album under the MTM/Trycycle labels. In 1998 he became part of The Outpatience, releasing their debut album 'Anxious Disease' (Teichiku/Virgin), featuring members of Guns n'Roses, and a duet with Axl Rose. Michael has performed as vocalist with Symphony Orchestras North America wide in tribute concerts to The Eagles, Paul McCartney, Queen, Led Zeppelin, U2 and KISS. In addition to his musical pursuits, Michael has also been the voice behind many radio and television commercials including Coke, Labbats, Coors, Crunchie, Fosters, The Bay and many more. The three piece Michael Shotton band also features guitarist Robbie Robbins who began his musical career with the band Steel Lily in 1983 and performed coast to coast with them for eight years. In 1991, with former Riot vocalist Rhett Forrester, he formed the band Dr. Dirty, moving on in 1996 to work with Dave Mason in Los Angeles. He has performed with various tribute bands over the years, including Rattle And Hum (U2), Crazy Babies (Ozzy), Dressed to Kill (KISS), Cold As Ice (Foreigner), Hotel California (Eagles), Desperado (Eagles), and most recently, the Disco Show Fever.
