Born in South Africa, Trev Tasker grew up exposed to all the sights of Africa and the sounds of the unmistakable African rhythm that led to a lifelong passion for music and performance. He started working as a DJ at the age of 18 and in 1982 opened up his own company, Enigma Mobile Discothèque's. Combining his love of music and entertainment with a keen business sense, Trev has since enjoyed a diverse career, from managing two branches of Insurance firms, to being appointed Assistant Vice President of Sales for a global electronic display company, to producing and managing live stage shows and musicals including 'Grease' and 'The Rocky Horror Picture Show', as well as a show of his own conception called 'The Rock Circus'. In 1994 Trev moved with his wife and two children to Canada, where his dual career again flourished and led to the establishment of Gigs Entertainment Inc., providing DJ's, live entertainment and web design services; and GIGS International Inc., which provides multimedia displays and communication solutions to call centres and stock exchanges worldwide As a songwriter and solo artist, Trev has played guitar and sung lead vocals, and in 2000 released his own original CD entitled STANDPOINT which has been performed live around the Greater Toronto Area to delight audiences of all ages. With a successful sales career to parallel his music background, Trev brings over 20 years experience as an entrepreneur, and a passion for entertaining, to the clients of Gigs Entertainment.
